Your Questions Answered

Please find below some answers to the most common questions we are asked:

What will happen during my first visit to Freedom Back Clinics?

On arrival you will meet with your Patient Advisor who will guide you through the Patient Admission Form and explain the clinic procedures and the various treatment options available.

Your Patient Advisor will then introduce you to your specialist practitioner.

Using the Patient Admission Form as a guide, you and your practitioner will discuss your health history in detail. This information, together with physical examination, will help your practitioner to arrive at a correct diagnosis for you and your condition.

Based on the findings your practitioner will decide whether any additional investigations are necessary before treatment can begin.

Following your consultation you will be presented with a Report of Findings, outlining your specific problem, treatment options and prognosis. Questions are always welcome.

How many sessions will I need?

On your first visit to the Freedom Back Clinic, Leeds, your practitioner will explain that there is no one size fits all answer to this question. The number of sessions you need will be dictated by your condition and its severity and how well you respond to treatment.

Your practitioner will continually reassess your progress as you proceed with treatment.

Will I need an x-ray?

An x-ray is not required in every case but could be included in your initial consultation if your practitioner thinks it is necessary. Alternatively, if you have had an x-ray recently at another clinic or hospital, your practitioner may ask for your written consent to obtain the information.

Amongst the state of the art equipment at our Leeds back clinic is our comfortable x-ray suite, meaning that investigations can be carried out on-site.

How long will each session last?

Most people’s first visit to our Leeds clinic lasts around an hour and generally consists of the consultation. Some patients begin treatment during their first visit.

Further sessions can vary in length depending entirely upon the type of treatment you receive. Normally sessions are between a quarter of an hour and half an hour.
